Mechanics and physics of complex material systems

Jackeline Sacasari
Jackeline Sacasari (class of 2026) is an undergraduate student (co-advised by Guy Nordenson) in the Li Research Group.
Her senior thesis explores the integration of structural analysis, numerical modeling, and heritage-informed approaches to further understand historic construction techniques, aiming to develop sustainable, resilient, and adaptive masonry and vaulted structures. Her research interests include masonry vault behavior, seismic performance of structures, thin-tile and Catalan domes, and the application of traditional building systems to modern sustainable design.

Outside of school, she enjoys drawing, reading fiction, and going on walks with her dog.
